Divorce

In some ways, divorce can be more life changing than getting married.

If you are contemplating divorce, or are already suffering the often arduous process of going through a divorce, I can help you navigate that process.

With the help of therapy, people can rediscover core parts of their personality that have long been dormant, post-separation or post-divorce. This can be a welcome surprise and wonderful "side-effect" of separation or divorce.

You may want help remembering who you were before marriage, as well as rediscovering the things that make you unique. You may be ready to embark on a new way of being in the world. You may want to strengthen your confidence, and to know that you can handle this challenging time.

Similarly, you may be needing to grieve the letting go of a marriage, and/or want help in discerning how (or if) you want to communicate with your ex now that you've decided to move on.

I've worked with many people who are either considering divorce or are in the process of getting divorced. Getting assistance during these times can help you make healthy decisions now and in the future. If you haven't decided yet whether or not divorce is the right path for you and could use some guidance, getting clarity is possible.

Note:  This article is helpful for some people: http://www.myfloridalaw.com/child-custody-law/helping-children-with-divorce/. It discusses how to tell your children about your divorce or separation, how to provide them with stability and structure in their lives, staying civil with your ex, how it's important to take care of yourself and more.
